Five Months Old!

Another month has flown by. In addition to being baptized, Greta has also learned to roll over consistently from her back to her stomach, but only rolling left (blue steel style). She has also found her right foot.

Her first swing. No reaction at all.

I never thought I would put her in a pink outfit with a headband, but she seems to like it

Enjoying a long walk on a cool evening

This month also marked mommy's return to work and daddy's start of his MBA program. Life is a constant adjustment. Good thing Greta is so easy going. She loves her nanny and playing with her friend Eli.

Eli (the nanny's son) and Greta. Not a great shot, but I'm sure there will be more in the future. They are going to be best buds.

Likes:
- Staring at her mobile
- Sophie the Giraffe and chewing on her bead necklace

Dislikes:
- Sunset = crabby time
- Being on her stomach for too long

Baptism

Greta getting ready to be baptized wearing great-great-great grandpa Dodie's bonnet

We went to St. Louis a few weekends ago to have Greta baptized in the same church as her father, grandmother, and countless other family members. Nonny, Boompa, Aunt Darcy, Uncle Anthony, and cousin Easton came as well. Anthony is Greta's Godfather, and Aunt Katie is her Godmother. She is so blessed! Decon Dave did a wonderful job, not missing a beat as Greta cried through half of it.

Holy Bath
Proud parents, grandparents, and great grandma
We also found time to check out the Missouri wine country. It was a beautiful day and we all had a great time.

It was a very special and wonderful trip. Greta is so lucky to be part of such wonderful families!

Four Months Old!

Greta has really started to show her personality this month. She is very laid back and loves just watching what is going on around her. She enjoys being outside, and she smiles and giggles at everyone. She finally met her Grandpa Aaron when he and Grandma Patty came to visit us in Denver, and the next weekend we flew to Missouri to meet Adam's mom's side of the family at Lake of the Ozarks. She had a great time, although was not too fond of the humidity. I think she may have her daddy's pink cheeks! Here are some pictures of that trip as well as other random pics this month.

First time in the pool. She liked it more than the picture shows

We're Going to Jackson

We are planning on going back to Jackson Hole every year to celebrate our anniversary, and this year Adam's parents came with us. We had a great time visiting spots from the wedding, and Greta loved her first trip to the Tetons. She even had her first giggle there.

We are planning on taking a picture here on every visit

If it looks like she doesn't like her setup, thats because she didn't. We didn't make it too far before turning back.

Under the antler arches. See you next year, Jackson!

Three Months Old!

It has been a very busy month for Greta. She finally got to meet her cousins, twice! We already posted the pictures of the Tucson visit, and also of our trip to Coeur d'Alene. Here are some stats and other random pictures:

Coeur d'Alene

My family spent a week hanging out on beautiful lake Coeur d'Alene in Idaho. It was great to have so much cousin time. Such a special week. Here are some highlights:
Babies on the dock. Our rental house is in the background
We decided to have the inaugural family olympic games. Nonny and Boompa were team USA, Aunt Debbie, Uncle Adam, Lincoln and Kason were team Italy, Adam, Greta and I were team Germany, and Darcy and Easton were team Mexico. We didn't get to play as many games as we thought we would, but with second place in chicken feet, and domination in both Yahtzee and Bocce Ball, team Germany came out with the win. Nummer eins!
Sporting our team jackets
Darcy, Adam and I rode the Route of the Hiawatha bike trail one day. It was a gorgeous 17 mile trek through tunnels and over trestles that used to be part of the Milwaukee Railroad. We had a blast!
Heading through one of the many tunnels
On a trestle enjoying the spectacular scenery
We celebrated July 4th in style. Aunt Darcy bought the cousins all matching onsies and shirts. We had so much fun dressing them up and taking pictures.
Matching Cousins
Greta was seriously ready to party
Our favorite part of the trip was all of the fun boat rides. We were able to tour the lake, go water skiing and watched the July 4th fireworks from the town of Coeur d'Alene (and later from John Elway's place just a few houses over).
Making sure greta was safe, shaded and warm. Lincoln loved the boat rides too. "Fast again!"
Our little flower
Thanks to Nonny and Boompa for coordinating such a wonderful trip. We all had so much fun and can't wait for the next family get together!

Surprise Visit

Last weekend was full of family events in Tucson, including Adam #1's birthday, Father's Day, and Easton and Kason's baptism. We just couldn't miss out on the fun, so Nonny and I devised a plan to come to town and surprise the rest of the family.
First Plane Flight!
Dad's surprise - We put Greta in a chair on the hygiene side of the office and rang the bell to get dad to come check on his "new patient". When he peaked in the room, Nonny was crying, and then he saw Greta in the chair. So special!

Debbie's surprise - Nonny and BoomPa went to the Dalesandro's house to bring them lunch. When they went inside, Nonny said there was a package out on the doorstep, where we were hiding. We got them good!
Meeting Cousin Kason
Darcy's surprise - We all went back to Nonny and Boompa's house to wait for the Ortiz family to show up. When they walked in, Greta was just hanging out on the blanket, waiting for one of them to notice. Unfortunately, Darcy had already sniffed out the surprised, so she noticed right away.
First picture of all the cousins
The next day we went to visit Great Grandma Doris Cline Derickson. She was so excited to meet Greta, who's middle name is also Cline. It was so special!
The Cline name lives on!
She loved seeing Easton again, too!
I bought matching outfits for the cousins, and we got some great pictures.
So cute!

I love Easton's smile

The Strunks
All the Chickadies

Possible Christmas Card??
The next day was the baptism. I'm so glad we were there to witness this special moment.

Meeting Great Grandpa Phil. He would have been so proud!
Overall, it was a wonderful weekend. So wonderful, in fact, that Greta and I stayed three more days! I love surprises, and Greta loves her cousins!!
