A Day in the Park

Today was the most gorgeous day in Denver, so we had to get out and enjoy the beautiful fall weather. Greta loved watching the leaves fall, and even tasted a few. Here are some of our favorite pics:

Six Months Old!

Its been another busy month for Greta. Nonny, Boompa, Aunt Debbie, Uncle Adam, and cousins Lincoln and Kason came to visit.
Cheering for the Wildcats

We thought it would be a good time to try her first solid food - GREEN BEANS! Couldn't tell if she liked them or not, but she took them down like a champ! She also tried carrots, squash, sweet potatoes, and zucchini this month.
Yummy Green Beans
Uncle Adam and I ran a half marathon that weekend. it was tough, but we both did great!
Greta seems unimpressed
The next couple of weeks, Greta hit some milestones. She learned to sit up, and she popped out her first two teeth.
Showing off her new talents - sitting and drooling (check out her two bottom teeth)
She also hung out with her friends
Hanging at the pumpkin patch with Aiden and Emma

Swinging with Eli
Getting playtime tips from Harper and Riley
Overall it was a great month. Can't wait to see what next month brings!

Trip to Breck

It is definitely feeling like fall around here. Last weekend we went up to Breckenridge to see Uncle Pepper, Aunt Willow, and cousins Benna and BoBo (thats right, they all have nicknames already). But first, cousin Carm and Carl and second cousin Cora stopped by on their way to the airport to meet Greta. I can't wait for the day when they are in ski lessons together!

What a difference 5 months can make

Cousins and their babies
We had a relaxing and fun time up at the cabin, and had a little time Saturday in town to take some pics with the changing leaves.

Family portrait. We got a few others that may end up being our christmas card

The wind was chilly, so Greta sported her cute owl hat
I don't want to leave!!

Five Months Old!

Another month has flown by. In addition to being baptized, Greta has also learned to roll over consistently from her back to her stomach, but only rolling left (blue steel style). She has also found her right foot.

Her first swing. No reaction at all.

I never thought I would put her in a pink outfit with a headband, but she seems to like it

Enjoying a long walk on a cool evening

This month also marked mommy's return to work and daddy's start of his MBA program. Life is a constant adjustment. Good thing Greta is so easy going. She loves her nanny and playing with her friend Eli.
Adam's first day of school photo

Eli (the nanny's son) and Greta. Not a great shot, but I'm sure there will be more in the future. They are going to be best buds.

Likes:
- Staring at her mobile
- Sophie the Giraffe and chewing on her bead necklace
- Walks
- Patty Cake

Dislikes:
- Sunset = crabby time
- Being on her stomach for too long

Baptism

Greta getting ready to be baptized wearing great-great-great grandpa Dodie's bonnet

We went to St. Louis a few weekends ago to have Greta baptized in the same church as her father, grandmother, and countless other family members. Nonny, Boompa, Aunt Darcy, Uncle Anthony, and cousin Easton came as well. Anthony is Greta's Godfather, and Aunt Katie is her Godmother. She is so blessed! Decon Dave did a wonderful job, not missing a beat as Greta cried through half of it.

Parents and Godparents
Holy Bath
Proud parents, grandparents, and great grandma
We also found time to check out the Missouri wine country. It was a beautiful day and we all had a great time.
The Crew
Greta loved sitting on the wine barrel
It was a very special and wonderful trip. Greta is so lucky to be part of such wonderful families!

Four Months Old!

Greta has really started to show her personality this month. She is very laid back and loves just watching what is going on around her. She enjoys being outside, and she smiles and giggles at everyone. She finally met her Grandpa Aaron when he and Grandma Patty came to visit us in Denver, and the next weekend we flew to Missouri to meet Adam's mom's side of the family at Lake of the Ozarks. She had a great time, although was not too fond of the humidity. I think she may have her daddy's pink cheeks! Here are some pictures of that trip as well as other random pics this month.

First time in the pool. She liked it more than the picture shows

Chillin in her Babyators
Meeting second cousin Gretchen

Its soooo hot!

Meeting Erin Knutson Carmines baby Alice

Rockin the headphones at her first concert: Florence and the Machine at Red Rocks

Checking out a rainbow at the Rockies vs. Cardinals baseball game

Her first deer sighting at Uncle Pepper and Aunt Willow's place in Breckenridge

- Her blanket. I think we found her security object.
- Soothie pacifiers, but only when she is mad or tired
- Bathtime
- sucking on her thumb and rolling to her left side

Dislikes
- Being hot and sweaty
- Mommy trying to put her in clothes that are too small

We're Going to Jackson

We are planning on going back to Jackson Hole every year to celebrate our anniversary, and this year Adam's parents came with us. We had a great time visiting spots from the wedding, and Greta loved her first trip to the Tetons. She even had her first giggle there.

Meeting Grandpa Aaron for the first time

Our first stop: Jackson Lake Lodge

Standing on the spot where we exchanged our vows

Reenacting the log picture

Playing in the wildflowers

They showed 2 of our wedding pictures on their advertisement for Coulior. Where is the compensation??!?

Getting the first giggles on camera

Buffalo!

We are planning on taking a picture here on every visit

Greta's first hike

If it looks like she doesn't like her setup, thats because she didn't. We didn't make it too far before turning back.

Under the antler arches. See you next year, Jackson!
